Diabetes is a disease that is closely linked with skin problems. Every diabetes victim must look after some major skin problems that can affect them and should consult medication. Some of the skin problems in diabetes are Scleroderma diabeticorum, Vitiligo, Rashes and other diseases caused by bacteria and fungus. Scleroderma affects the neck and upper back of the body by causing thickening of skin. This is common in diabetes level 2 patients and lotions are available for softening the skin. Vitiligo is the discoloring disease which destroys pigmentation enzymes and so causes discoloring in certain parts of the body making uglier spots. Topical steroids and lotions are used to give back pigmentation enzymes. Another common problem is formation of rashes and bumps around the spot of injection of insulin. The only cure for all the skin disease appearing for diabetes victims is to control their body sugar levels.
